Now in its 17th year, the Oklahoma Supercomputing Symposium is the oldest annual event of its kind in an EPSCoR jurisdiction.
Attendance in 2017 was 295:
83 (28%) from OU, 212 (72%) non-OU (or unstated)
197 (67%) academic, 98 (33%) non-academic (or unstated)
23 academic institutions in 9 states
22 commercial firms
7 government agencies (federal and state)
4 non-governmental organizations
191 (65%) Oklahoman, 104 (35%) non-Oklahoman (or unstated)
215 (73%) from EPSCoR jurisdictions, 80 (27%) not from EPSCoR jurisdictions (or unstated)

The 16 Symposia to date have had aggregate attendance over 4000, from:
122 academic institutions from 28 US states and territories plus 1 other country
including
67 academic institutions from 12 EPSCoR jurisdictions (among them 35 in OK)
165 private companies
35 government agencies (federal, state, municipal, foreign)
21 non-governmental organizations

Founded in 1989, the Coalition for Academic Scientific Computation (CASC) is an educational nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization with 86 member institutions representing many of the nation’s most forward thinking universities and computing centers.
