CaRCC – the Campus Research Computing Consortium – is an organization of dedicated professionals developing, advocating for, and advancing campus research computing and data* and associated professions. Current focus areas include building community among research computing and data professionals, connecting the broader research computing and data ecosystem (see the People Network), professionalization and workforce development, and defining stakeholders and shared value propositions for the community at a time of accelerating change.
CASC and CaRCC leadership are collaborating to leverage our organizations to advocate for and advance research computing and data capabilities and professionals at academic institutions. Our joint value proposition is as follows:
- Amplify the needs, issues, and importance of a diversified and representative RCD community
- Leverage the RCD community to jointly produce useful information, positions, and or reports
- Explore and/or share engagement opportunities within our respective communities
- Work together on projects initiatives, and/or outcomes that support both our missions and visions
- Develop a communications strategy between the organizations that amplifies each others’ efforts
