CASC Endorses Gold Standard Science Letter

CASC Partnership Action Summary

CASC joined more than 90 scientific, academic, and professional organizations in signing a letter coordinated by the American Psychological Association (APA) to Director Michael Kratsios at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP).

The coalition emphasized that:

• Investing in science is a necessity, not a luxury, as it drives medical breakthroughs, technological advancement, and economic growth.

• The existing “gold standard” of science is already evident in America’s achievements—from vaccines to space exploration to modern technological revolutions.

• The collective organizations expressed support for the Executive Order on “Restoring the Gold Standard in Science” while underscoring the ongoing importance of rigorous, unbiased scientific inquiry that serves the public good with integrity and utility.

Through this partnership, CASC reinforced its commitment to advocating for robust scientific standards and policies alongside peer organizations across research, public health, and academia.
